Separate the business from the owner
Use an account titled to the correct legal entity and EIN. Keep business income and expenses out of personal accounts. If you operate multiple legal entities, ask whether the provider permits separate accounts under the same owner or EIN structure before applying.

Before moving money
Download statements from the old account, update payment processors and subscriptions, test incoming and outgoing transfers, and keep the old account open until outstanding payments clear. Store recovery information in a business-controlled password manager and require multi-factor authentication.
